BOLD.BEAUTIFUL.ELETRIC. MEET THE ALL-NEW NISSAN MICRA

FORGET everything you thought you knew about the Nissan Micra. The sixth-generation model is not just a redesign — it’s a complete reinvention.

With this all-electric hatchback, Nissan is boldly returning to the B-segment with something far more daring, stylish and exciting than its predecessors.

Yes, it’s still a Micra by name, but in every other sense, it’s a whole new beast — beautiful, feisty, and confident.

The new Micra makes an unforgettable first impression with its bold exterior styling.

Distinctive front and rear designs are complemented by large, round LED rings surrounding the headlights. These headlights even perform a quirky “welcome wink,” pulsing from left to right and back again when the car is unlocked — a charming touch that sets the tone for what’s to come.

Despite its compact size, the Micra stands out with its generous design options. It comes with a choice of three 18-inch alloy wheel designs and a palette of 14 exterior colour combinations, including contrasting roof colours that add even more character.

Under the hood — or rather, under the floor — the Micra offers two electric powertrain options. The entry-level model features a 90kW motor paired with a 40kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 309km.

A more powerful 110kW variant with a 52kWh battery ups the range to 407km, making it not only stylish but practical for everyday driving.

Step inside, and the innovation continues. The cabin blends technology with cultural elegance, featuring dual 10.1-inch configurable screens and subtle Japanese design influences.

One standout detail: a moulded outline of Mount Fuji in the storage space between the front seats — a nod to Nissan’s heritage.

Ambient lighting with 48 colour options allows for a personalized driving atmosphere, while three interior trim options — Modern, Audacious, and Chilli — let buyers match the car’s bold exterior with their individual style.

Giovanny Arroba, Vice President of Nissan Design Europe, describes the new Micra’s look as “audacious and playful,” with a stance that exudes confidence.

“We’ve integrated delightful details into the design,” he says, “and we believe owners will love discovering them.”

This reinvented Micra is part of Nissan’s broader electric future. It’s one of four fully electric models the brand plans to launch in Europe by 2027. Whether this head-turner will make its way to South Africa remains to be seen — but one thing is certain: the Micra is back, and it means business.
