HYUNDAI Automotive South Africa has introduced the Hyundai EXTER Premium 1.2 Cargo panel van.
This new compact light-commercial vehicle is aimed at small businesses, entrepreneurs and fleet operators looking for an affordable and practical delivery vehicle.
This versatile Hyundai Cargo is a five-door, two-seater panel van with a flat, enclosed rear load area.
Its increased ground clearance is one of its key selling points, particularly for operators who need to travel on gravel roads or in rural areas where road conditions can be challenging.
Power comes from a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 61 kW and 114 Nm. It drives the front wheels through a manual transmission with an average fuel consumption figure of 5.7 Litre/100 km.
“The Hyundai EXTER Cargo gives small-business customers a practical alternative that is affordable to buy and economical to operate,” said Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa.
“Its compact dimensions make it easy to manoeuvre in urban environments, while the additional ground clearance gives it an advantage when the working day takes customers onto rougher roads.”
The EXTER Cargo is priced at R247,392 excluding Value Added Tax (VAT) or R284,500 including VAT.
Because it is homologated as a light commercial vehicle, qualifying business customers can benefit from VAT reclaimability, while the Cargo specification also offers a slight payload advantage over the passenger version.
Despite its commercial focus, the Hyundai EXTER Cargo is not short on standard equipment.
Features include air conditioning, electric windows, Bluetooth connectivity, USB connectivity, remote central locking, six airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System and a tyre-pressure monitoring system.
