MORE than a decade after redefining the B-segment with its “voiture à vivre” philosophy, the Renault Captur continues to evolve while staying true to its hallmarks of comfort, versatility and compact practicality.
With over two million units sold globally, the New Captur arrives more contemporary than ever, boasting a more assertive design, a spirited 1.3L Turbo petrol engine and the advanced OpenR Link infotainment system.
The model retains its signature two-tone exterior, flexible interior packaging and high-tech convenience, while introducing a new generation of enhancements.
The new Urban Grey colour option and the striking Esprit Alpine trim showcase a more athletic, premium stance.
A redesigned front end reflects Renault’s updated brand identity with a multi-faceted grille, a higher and more horizontal bonnet and sophisticated lighting signatures.
Full LED headlamps, vertical half-diamond DRLs and a dynamic welcome sequence add visual flair, while transparent rear lamp housings and a refreshed diffuser create a cleaner, more upmarket rear appearance.
Trim levels differentiate themselves through unique wheel designs and finishes, with the Esprit Alpine standing out thanks to Ice Black logos, high-gloss accents, 19-inch Elixir wheels and Slate Grey skid plates.
Inside, the New Captur features the OpenR Link multimedia system and a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen that feels instantly familiar and smartphone-like.
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay ensure seamless connectivity, while Alpine-inspired cabin details—French-flag motifs, blue top-stitching, aluminium pedals and an ergonomic steering wheel—enhance its sporting elegance.
Interior versatility remains a Captur hallmark, with a sliding rear bench offering class-leading 221 mm of knee room and a modular boot that extends to 616 litres with the bench forward, or up to 1,596 litres with the seats folded.
The cabin also provides 24.7 litres of practical storage, and all upholstery incorporates recycled or bio-sourced materials, with the Esprit Alpine using more than 26% recycled content.
Power comes from a lively 1.3L Turbo petrol engine producing 113 kW and 270 Nm, paired with an Efficient Dual-Clutch transmission for responsive and refined performance.
The MULTI-SENSE system, available on the Iconic trim, offers four driving modes—Eco, Sport, Comfort and Perso—allowing drivers to tailor steering weight, throttle response, chassis behaviour and even ambient lighting.
Aligned with Renault’s Human First Program, the New Captur integrates a suite of advanced safety technologies including cruise control, a speed limiter, Blind Spot Warning, Hill Start Assist and 360° parking sensors.
The model range is supported by a 5-year/150,000 km mechanical warranty and a 3-year/45,000 km service plan.
Pricing starts at R515,999 for the Captur 1.3L Techno EDC, R544,999 for the 1.3L Iconic EDC and R614,999 for the flagship 1.3L Esprit Alpine EDC.
