THE RENAULT Triber has long enjoyed the approval of e-hailing drivers, thanks to its unbeatable blend of affordability, spaciousness, and everyday practicality.
Now, with a comprehensive refresh, this popular 7-seater is poised to strengthen its position in the hearts of both drivers and passengers alike.
Visually, the updated Triber has undergone a significant transformation.
The refreshed exterior features a new piano black radiator grille, a more sculpted bonnet, and redesigned front and rear bumpers.
On the Techno and Iconic models, these bumpers are complemented by integrated silver skid plates, adding a more rugged, upmarket look.
The lighting has also received an upgrade, with LED projector headlamps now accompanied by integrated LED daytime running lights.
At the rear, LED tail lamp clusters are fitted exclusively to the Techno and Iconic derivatives.
Wheel choices have been refined as well. The entry-level Triber Evolution continues with steel wheels and plastic covers, while the Techno and Iconic variants now ride on 15-inch alloy wheels — black for the Techno, and diamond-cut for the Iconic.
Both models also feature fully functional roof rails with a claimed load capacity of 50 kilograms, adding to their utility.
Inside, the cabin has been given a more premium feel. New seat upholstery, paired with a dual-tone dashboard, enhances the sense of style.
A 7-inch digital instrument cluster sits behind the multifunction steering wheel, while an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system — complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — takes centre stage.
A reverse camera is also standard across the range, improving everyday usability.
Comfort has been given special attention, particularly for passengers in the second and third rows, who benefit from dedicated HVAC vents.
While the Techno model introduces a cooled centre console for chilled beverages, the range-topping Iconic goes even further with added luxuries such as a wireless charging pad, cruise control, front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlamps.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the Triber continues to impress with Renault’s Easy-Fix seating system. This allows the vehicle to be configured as a five-, six- or seven-seater, with various arrangements to suit the needs of both families and commercial users.
When used as a five-seater, the Triber offers a generous 625 litres of luggage space. Throughout the cabin, an additional 23 litres of storage has been cleverly integrated into compartments for added practicality.
Safety remains a top priority, and all models come standard with six airbags, front parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring, ABS brakes with EBD, and seatbelt reminders.
The mechanical setup remains unchanged. Powering the Triber is the familiar 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 52 kW and 96 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the Iconic model is also available with a five-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) for those seeking convenience.
